What do those words mean?

Simply stated, a Personal Spiritual Awakening is just a phrase to describe the dynamic change that takes place within a Christian believer when they awaken from being spiritually asleep. Actually, a Personal Spiritual Awakening is not an end but a journey, a journey that begins the moment YOU take the step (or leap) of faith to begin YOUR Personal Spiritual Awakening.

You may, or may not, actively attend a local church. You may or may not serve in some capacity in your local church. You may even be a pastor, minister, or other church/denominational leader. Christian, whoever you are, God desires a dynamic, one-to-one, 24/7 personal relationship with you! That was God's design long before the coming of Jesus Christ as foretold in Old Testament writings. Yet this dynamic truth has unfortunately been hidden from most Christians until now.

This dynamic relationship is not to be confused with the many false teachings found throughout Christianity. Christianity has become spiritually asleep due in part to false teachings which have become accepted Christian doctrine and practice. Neither is this dynamic relationship to be confused with the extreme emotionalism which has overwhelmingly become the stereotype of spirituality in modern Christianity. Christianity has become so filled with falsehoods that it is extremely difficult to see what is the real truth of God! So, how does one find the truth? Satan does not want you to know the truth as that would significantly weaken his power in this world. Satan does not want you to experience a dynamic relationship with God as that would greatly weaken if not eliminate his power and influence upon you. Although we will never be totally beyond the reach of Satan in this world, we can virtually eliminate his power and influence in our life through a dynamic personal relationship with God! One finds the real truth of God from God Himself! Make sure you understand this because there is so much false teaching about where to find the truth of God. The Bible is not God! The Church is not God! Only God is God, and only from God Himself can you find real truth!

This transformation of your faith is called a Personal Spiritual Awakening because it is not a world event, not a denominational event, not a church event, not even a group event. A Personal Spiritual Awakening is a personal event between you alone and God! However, it is not just an event. It is a journey which begins with an event, that event being your step (leap) of faith into your own Personal Spiritual Awakening.

THIRD, the Maturing Series will guide and encourage you as you continue to grow in your personal spiritual awakening with special focus given to abiding in Christ and walking in the Spirit.
